The work of the Rural Economic and Community Development Programs is to help Nevada’s rural communities build prosperity.

Through collaboration with various government agencies, businesses and non-profit groups, the rural program assists in the development of healthy and viable communities by improving living conditions and economic opportunities.

The Rural Development Office also provides the training and technical assistance needed to support small town economic diversification efforts and encourage sustainable development.
