The Film Office answers an estimated 200
inquiries per month from production companies looking to film
in Nevada.
The Film Office maintains and frequently expands a location
library of tens of thousands of photos highlighting potential
film locations statewide.
The NFO continues to implement an annual screenwriting contest
to encourage the development of scripts and stories that specifically
incorporate film locations within Nevada. It is the oldest of
its kind in the U.S.
The Film Office conducts periodic community meetings, workshops
and symposiums that serve as informational, educational, networking
or problem-solving opportunities for local industry professionals.
The NFO participates in many key industry events, conferences
and trade shows to heighten awareness of the benefits of shooting
in Nevada.
The NFO is broadening its public relations and community outreach
by providing a speakers service, panelists for seminars, offering
multimedia presentations, and expanding press contacts and interview
opportunities.

is a statewide listing of available crew, vendors, equipment,
production & post-production support services, and notable
locations throughout Nevada. The new upscale annual directory
was created in 1999 and each year is completely reviewed and
updated as needed. It is the key tool for all production and
filming in Nevada.
Rural Nevada Production Guide is a listing of available
crew, equipment, services and support facilities specific to
rural Nevada, including comprehensive photography of locations.
Reno-Tahoe Production Guide is production information
and a photo guide of available locations in the Reno-Tahoe area.
Southern Nevada Production Guide is production information
and a photo guide of available locations in the Las Vegas area.
Locations Less Known Quarterly Newsletter is distributed
to hundreds of production industry professionals, this full
color newsletter recaps filming activity throughout the state,
upcoming projects, interesting locations and related subjects
of interest.
