Made in Nevada

Purpose:

The Made in Nevada program – an extension of marketing – is designed to build demand for Nevada products and industries, while creating a strong network of businesses and support services throughout the state. The program is a partnership between the Nevada Commission on Economic Development, the Manufacturing Assistance Partnership (MAP) and NIST-MEP (Manufacturing Extension Program).

Key Long-Term Objectives:

Continue to grow the Made in Nevada network.

Provide educational opportunities for Made in Nevada business owners to learn the nuances of growing and expanding their business.

Display Made in Nevada products in a variety of new venues.

Accomplishments:

These past two years have taken the Made in Nevada program from a small pamphlet with about 30 to 40 companies listed to a web site and searchable database with more than 250 companies participating. News stories about the Made in Nevada program were written in the Las Vegas Review Journal, Las Vegas Sun, Las Vegas Business Press, Reno Gazette-Journal, Nevada Appeal and the Daily Sparks Tribune. Public service announcements were also aired on radio stations in Las Vegas, Reno, and Winnemucca.
