Marketing
oversees a comprehensive marketing, advertising and public
relations program designed to promote elements relating
to economic development and diversification, and to coordinate
the external message of CED's divisions.

Advertising and promotional materials are produced for use in
print and electronic media and targeted trade shows, and to
answer inquiries from both domestic and foreign companies.
Develop and implement a strategic public
relations initiative directed toward attractingto Nevada both
national and international corporate investment.
Produce and publish a newly-designed newsletter for use both
inside and outside Nevada highlighting programs and accomplishments
in the States diversification efforts.
Work with CED rural economic development on a marketing plan
specifically focused on rural Nevada promotion.
During the past biennium, costly publications
were replaced with CEDs new web site. The agencys
site, www.expand2nevada.com,
provides information about all of CEDs programs and hot
links to the home pages of the agency partners (B&I, DETR,
SOS, Taxation). The web site addresses all aspects of doing
business in Nevada and answers questions about the quality of
life in the Silver State.
Additionally, a new marketing strategy has generated brochures
for each of CEDs programs and targeted industries. The
collateral pieces in conjunction with postcards and print
advertising in regional and national markets all direct
the reader back to our web site.
Medical manufacturing, electronics, and plastics were targeted
industries for trade shows during the past biennium. The agency
acts as the host for Nevada when attending trade shows. All
of the trade shows arrangements are made by the state
and regional development authorities are invited to attend.
