The Nevada Alliance for Defense, Energy and Business is a partnership
working to protect national assets by promoting existing and new programs
and fostering the exchange of information, expertise, and technology.
The Alliance supports creation of national test and demonstration centers
of excellence for defense, environmental, nuclear, and alternative energy
missions. They strive to mutually benefit the Alliance members, the U.S.
Departments of Energy and Defense, other federal departments and agencies,
the U.S. taxpayers, and the people of Nevada.

The Nevada Aviation and Aerospace Foundation is a non-profit organization
that promotes educational, scientific and charitable programs in aviation
and aerospace through collaboration between educational institutions,
federal, state and local government, community organizations and private
industry. Some of their objectives include: providing an integrating and
coordinating organization for aviation and aerospace; promoting planning
and strategic development; promoting opportunities for joint technology
transfer; and stimulating research and development to include study and
resolution of technology issues.

EPSCOR is a program aimed at building up the scientific research capacity
in states. The EPSCOR philosophy is to stimulate competitive research
by helping faculty members improve their research and write competitive
proposals. The EPSCOR program was started by the National Science Foundation,
and other federal funding agencies have since adopted their own EPSCOR
programs.

NTC is a Nevada nonprofit corporation formed to establish and maintain
an active organization of persons from business, government, and academia
who are interested in advancing economic development and diversification
for Nevada through innovative technology and entrepreneurship. NTC activities
include educational workshops, discussion forums, exhibitions, publications,
awards, task forces, and an interface with business, government, and academia
in a supportive networking environment.

NTS Development Corporation is a non-profit entity funded by the Department
of Energy to facilitate commercial interaction between the Nevada business
community and the Nevada Test Site. Their goal is the development of sustainable
commercial activities in science and technology which maximize utilization
of Department of Energy resources, support on-going DOE missions, expand
non-government opportunities, and add long-term value to the regional
economy.

The mission of the TechAlliance@NewNevada is to foster Technology and
Entrepreneurial development in Nevada by helping the area diversify in
a responsible manner. A non-profit corporation, TechAlliance@NewNevada
will accomplish this mission by working closely and cooperatively with
current economic development groups, the University and Community College
System of Nevada, Regional Planners, and the business community.
The Tech Alliance is an organization of volunteers committed to helping
create a New Nevada. The goals are best defined by the activities of Tech
Alliances five Action Oriented Teams. The Recruiting Team focuses
on attracting High Tech Businesses to Nevada. The Support Team focuses
on establishing strong, supportive relationships with all existing Community
and Economic Development groups throughout the state. The Image Team is
focusing not only on sharing the mission of the TechAlliance@NewNevada,
but also on working closely with other community organizations to promote
a common message about Nevada. The Education Team is determined to enhance
the University and Community College System of Nevada by communicating
the needs of the High Tech Business community in several areas. And finally,
the Web Team focuses on providing an informative and effective web site
for people in Nevada and those interested in moving to the state.
