The Community Business Resource Center (CBRC) assists individuals, for-profit
businesses, non-profit organizations and local governments in developing
and diversifying the range of economic opportunities available within
their communities. CBRC enables other nonprofit organizations to collaborate
and co-locate in one place and operate their business assistance programs.
This allows for easier access by those needing business assistance while
at the same time creating efficiencies. Programs currently affiliated
with CBRC include the Nevada Revolving Loan Fund, USDA Intermediary
Relending (RNDC), Nevada Development Capital Corporation, and the Nevada
Microenterprise Initiative.

The CDPC is a partnership program with U.S. Bank and provides services
to Southern Nevada businesses regarding business education and counseling,
credit counseling, seminars and special events. Regularly scheduled seminars
and special events focus on finance, establishing and maintaining credit,
buying a home, starting a small business, money management and budgeting,
and investing. The centers economic development advocacy includes
establishing CDCs, RDOs and improving the quality of life
through business creation or expansion. Technical assistance is provided
for product development including direct, hands-on assistance to consumers,
business owners, and potential entrepreneurs.

The EOB Micro Business Development program offers technical assistance,
training, business plan development, and mentoring programs for entrepreneurs.
EOB provides guidance in forming marketable strategies, advises on taxes
and licensing requirements, and works one-on-one with new business owners
to problem solve and link new businesses to consumers.

The Global Trade and Investment Office assists businesses in gaining access
to global markets or further expanding their global presence, and assists
international companies interested in locating their businesses in Nevada.
Trade Office professionals help prepare Nevada businesses for work around
the world by conducting export seminars and trade missions, providing
counseling services, hosting delegations and maintaining an export and
investment directory. The office also provides research on the social,
political and cultural aspects of global markets and foreign countries.

The Made in Nevada Program includes companies licensed and headquartered
in Nevada with 50 percent or more of its product or products manufactured
in the state. The programs goal is to build demand for Nevada products
and industries. In addition to creating a strong network of businesses
and support services throughout the state, the program provides marketing
assistance such as public relations efforts and awareness building through
the Internet. The program also helps companies connect with other business
assistance programs.

The Management Assistance Partnership (MAP) program, federally funded
through the National Institute of Standards and Technology, is dedicated
to helping small to medium sized manufacturers create and maintain
a competitive edge. MAP provides access to cutting-edge technologies
through a partnership with the University of Nevada, and workforce
development programs through a partnership with the Community College.
MAP is a part of Industry Network Corporation (INC) a non-profit organization
dedicated to providing top-notch consultants at reduced rates. INCs
field engineers are trained to assess your business needs and will dedicate
up to 10 hours of on-site evaluation at no charge.

The purpose of the Nevada Film Office is to promote the production of
motion picture, television films and episodes, commercials,documentary
and industrial films utilizing Nevada locations and production and performance
talent. The office provides services ranging from scouting and site planning
to publishing the Nevada Production Directory for studios, ad agencies,
production companies and independent producers interested in saving time
and money by filming in Nevada. The office enhances the state economy
by bringing in productions that hire local crew members and use a variety
of community services.

Nevada MicroEnterprise Initiative (NMI) is a non-profit, micro-enterprise
development organization with offices in Carson City and Las Vegas. NMI's
mission is to enhance the economic self-sufficiency of low to moderate-income
individuals by developing their entrepreneurial skills through training,
technical assistance, and small loans. The programs designed by NMI provide
participants with positive role models, leadership development, and economic
empowerment. NMI's programs provide both women and men with business skills
as well as life skills. NMI offers programs in Reno, Las Vegas, Fallon,
and Carson City.

The Nevada Minority Purchasing Council (NMPC) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt
corporation chartered as a private sector initiative. It was founded for
the sole purpose of increasing the purchase of goods and services between
minority suppliers and the private and public sectors. The council sponsors
outreach programs and activities designed to support corporate minority
procurement policies by bringing together corporations and minority vendors.
Programs and services offered by NMPC include certification of ethnic
minority business enterprises; referrals to major purchasers of minority
suppliers; and support in developing, expanding, and promoting corporate
purchasing programs.

The NSBDC assists small business enterprises throughout the state by helping
them plan their growth potential and develop and maintain professional
management skills. Each center has full-time professional staff available
to provide assistance to individuals interested in starting a small business.
The program also utilizes experience from other available resources including
faculty members of the University of Nevada System as well as the Service
Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) and other private sector volunteers.
In addition, NSBDC also uses two databases to assist small businesses

Nevadas Procurement Outreach Program (POP) works to increase the
flow of federal contract dollars to Nevada businesses. POP provides businesses
with the training and technical assistance necessary to find, bid on,
and win government contracts. Procurement Outreach efforts include daily
monitoring of local, state and federal databases to identify possible
opportunities. Outreach professionals also support Nevada businesses in
the bid and proposal process through one-on-one counseling assistance
and regular training seminars

The Rural Economic and Community Development Program helps Nevadas
rural communities build prosperity. In addition to administering the Community
Development Block Grant program and grant programs to Nevadas thirteen
Development Authorities, program personnel provide the technical assistance
needed to support small town economic diversification efforts and encourage
sustainable development. Through collaboration with various government
agencies, businesses and non-profit groups, the rural program assists
in the development of healthy and viable communities.

The SCORE Association (Service Corps of Retired Executives) is a nonprofit
association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth
and success of small businesses nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner
with the Small Business Administration (SBA). SCORE Association volunteers
serve as "Counselors to America's Small Business." Working and
retired executives and business owners donate their time and expertise
as volunteer business counselors and provide confidential counseling and
mentoring free of charge.

The Internal Revenue Service's Small Business Tax Education Program
(STEP) is a cooperative effort with local organizations to provide
